Garage Door Won’t Close

When a garage door starts down and reverses, refuses to move, or stops before reaching the floor, the cause may involve an obstruction, safety sensors, tracks, opener settings, or door hardware.

Safe observations

• Clear objects from the doorway
• Inspect sensor lenses for obvious dirt or obstruction
• Look for a crooked door or damaged track
• Notice whether the door reverses at the same point each time
